The event is a critical showcase for USports recruitment, with university coaches and scouts attending to evaluate Canada’s top under-18 talent — making a university campus an especially compelling hosting environment.

Major League Quidditch (MLQ)/Major League Quadball is seeking a host for the 2027 MLQ Championship.

Canada Soccer accepts proposals from Canadian communities to host the Canada Soccer National Championships from 2027 to 2029 as well as the Youth National Championships from 2028 to 2029.

The National Championships represents Taekwondo Canada’s premier domestic competition and serves as the key selection event for National Team programs. The event is exclusively for black belt level athletes and brings together participants from across Canada to compete in all World Taekwondo poomsae and kyorugi divisions.

The Canada Open is Taekwondo Canada’s flagship international competition and has consistently been sanctioned at the World Taekwondo G2 level – the highest classification awarded to Open taekwondo events globally. While final sanctioning for 2027 is subject to World Taekwondo approval, the event is expected to maintain this designation, reflecting its established position on the international circuit. The Canada Open attracts elite international black belt athletes and contributes valuable Olympic and World ranking points.

The Canadian Masters Badminton Championships is an annual event for competitors aged 30 and older. This level of competition is not a general participation event, it targets and supports athletes in the Sport for Life stage of development.

The Canadian University/College Badminton Championships is an annual event for University and College students. This level of competition is not a general participation event, it targets and supports athletes in the Learn to Train and Train to Train stages of development.

The Canadian International Challenge is hosted every year since 2022. The event is used as a developmental pathway for Canadian athletes in addition to an opportunity for players to get World Ranking Points. On select Olympic qualification years, the Canadian International Challenge has been used as an Olympic qualifying event.

The Junior Elite Circuit includes up to seven (7) Junior Elite events spread out across the country for competitors in age groups under 19. This level of competition is not a general participation event, it targets and supports athletes in the Learn to Train and Train to Train stages of development.

The Canadian Lacrosse League (CLL) is seeking host destinations for the 2027 IIJL World U18 and U16 Lacrosse Championship. The IIJL World U18 and U16 Lacrosse Championship (WJLC) is the only international box lacrosse championship for players under eighteen years old. Over the last five (5) years the World U18s and U16s have become an annual marquee box lacrosse events providing both domestic and international growth for individual players and international team programs.

The Canadian Lacrosse League (CLL) is seeking host destinations for the 2027 IIJL World Junior Lacrosse Championship (WJLC). The IIJL WJLC is the only international box lacrosse championship for players under twenty two years old (U22). Over the last ten (10) years the World Juniors has become an annual marquee box lacrosse event – with previous championships hosted in NHL venues and with games broadcasted on TSN.

The Canada Cup draws approximately 300 competing athletes from club, provincial, national, and international teams.
